Bible Verse of the Week 13

It's that time of the week again. Here is this week's verse:
" 'Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.'" (NIV Proverbs 30:5-6)

Iranian President to Speak at Columbia University

The Iranian president is suppose to speak at Columbia University tomorrow. I'm disgusted, and I believe letting him speak at the university is a mistake. I would not be surprised if he was not challenged while he gives his speech; I'm afraid that people will be more polite to him than to a conservative speaker.

Bible Verse of the Week 12

It's that time of the week again. Here is the verse for this week:

" 'Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.'" (NIV Matthew 7:1-2)

In Tribute ...

This is a memorial to the victims of September 11 on my college's campus, and is located in the park. I posted this picture as tribute to the victims. I also took pictures of the flags that were planted in honor of September 11. I have posted some of those on my daily life blog.

Bible Verse of the Week 11

It's that time of the week again. Here's the bible verse for this week:

"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon - from Mount Mizar." (NIV Psalm 42:5-6)

Bible Verse of the Week 10

I realize that I have forgotten to post a verse earlier this week, so here is the verse for this week:

"An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up." (NIV version Proverbs 12:25)
